ISOFIX คืออะไร?
ISOFIX ย่อมาจากชื่อภาษาอังกฤษเต็มที่ว่า International Standards Organization Fix
ISOFIX เป็นตัวช่วยที่จะทำให้คาร์ซีทถูกยึดเข้ากับเบาะรถยนต์ได้อย่างพอดีและปลอดภัย โดยไม่ต้องใช้เข็มขัดนิรภัยช่วย อีกทั้งถือเป็นการยึดคาร์ซีทที่ง่ายดาย ลดการเกิดข้อผิดพลาดใดๆ ที่อาจเกิดขึ้น
โดยในปัจจุบัน ISOFIX นี้ถือเป็นมาตรฐานที่ใช้กันทั่วโลก
หลักการทำงานของ ISOFIX
คาร์ซีทจะมี Connectors อยู่ที่ด้านหลังเอาไว้เชื่อมกับตัว ISOFIX ที่มีมาให้ในรถและสามารถเสียบเข้าด้วยกันได้
ข้อดีของ ISOFIX
- ติดตั้งง่ายมาก
- ลดความเสี่ยงที่จะติดตั้งผิดตำแหน่ง โดยมีการสำรวจจาก German Insurance Institute (GDV) พบว่า 96% ของคาร์ซีทที่ติดตั้งวิธีนี้ล้วนแล้วแต่มีการจัดวางถูกต้อง ตรงข้ามกับการติดตั้งด้วยเข็มขัดนิรภัยนั้นพบว่าความถูกต้องลดลงเหลือแค่ 30% เท่านั้น ต่างกันอย่างมาก
- วิธีการติดตั้งแบบนี้ทำให้การยึดเกาะของคาร์ซีทมีความแข็งแรง
ข้อด้อยของ ISOFIX
- ไม่ได้มีในรถทุกรุ่น จะทำให้เกิดความยุ่งยากเล็กน้อย
รูปแบบของ ISOFIX
- Universal
ติดตั้งโดยสามารถใช้ได้ทั้งการยึดเกาะในส่วนบน (top tether) และส่วนล่าง (foot prop) เข้ากับพื้น ใช้สำหรับติดตั้งคาร์ซีทที่หันไปด้านหน้า (forward-facing)
- Semi Universal
ติดตั้งโดยสามารถใช้ได้ทั้งการยึดเกาะในส่วนบน (top tether) และส่วนล่าง (foot prop) เข้ากับพื้น และส่วนของตัว connectors ที่เสียบเข้ากับเบาะด้วย ใช้ได้ทั้งสำหรับติดตั้งคาร์ซีทที่หันไปด้านหน้า (forward-facing) รวมทั้งแบบที่หันไปด้านหลัง (rearward-facing)
- Vehicle Specific
อาศัยการยึดเกาะที่เสียบเข้ากับเบาะด้วยจุดเดียวเท่านั้น การติดตั้งวิธีนี้ต้องเช็คให้แน่ใจว่ารถที่เรามีเป็นโมเดลที่เหมาะกับการติดตั้งในลักษณะนี้
